Korean A Cappella Education Research Association - Children Who Dream (을 꿈꾸는 아이들)

In 2007, Korea's first a cappella children's song album was released, and in 2008, the second album with a fresh feel and color was released.

When looking at various domestic children's song albums, in many cases they are merely a compilation of children's songs created by gathering tracks with similar feels. However, this '2008 Children's Song A Cappella Album' has many differences starting from that point. Not only the 2007 a cappella album released last year, but also this 2008 album had all included tracks rearranged into pure a cappella songs, and was produced with current teachers gathered from across the country directly recording them.

Of course, because it is a children's song album consisting purely of a cappella, it is an advantage that all songs are purer and more comfortable to listen to for young children than any other children's song album. In addition, many fun elements are included throughout the songs, and another advantage is that people of all age groups can listen without burden, as it is great for adults to listen to as well and includes theme songs from nostalgic animated films.

However, what makes this album special is not only that it is a children's song album consisting solely of a cappella. It is that current teachers across the country directly produced it. Elementary, middle, and high school teachers affiliated with a domestic research group called the 'Korean A Cappella Education Research Association' are those very main protagonists. Centered around Han Seung-mo, who has already become a prominent figure in the Korean a cappella scene, the Korean A Cappella Education Research Association, which started in early 2006 with a small number of teachers, had teachers across the country voluntarily participate as this album was planned; and as an album started with good intentions, various places spared no support, including Tune-Up Music Studio, Indischool, and Teacher Kim Jeong-cheol of the Korea Music Research Association, who spared no great assistance in producing the album. Furthermore, it is even more deeply meaningful in that all 15 children's songs included in the album were directly arranged into a cappella sheet music and produced by Han Seung-mo and the teachers who participated in the arrangement training workshop hosted directly by the Korean A Cappella Education Research Association.

Like 'If Such a Day Comes', an included track on this album, as Han Seung-mo expressed his wish that this song and album filled with their dreams and hopes become more widely known to the world to fill it with beautiful harmonies, we hope a cappella helps to widely benefit the world.

2007년 대한민국에서 최초로 아카펠라 동요음반이 발매되었고, 2008년 새로운 느낌과 색깔의 두번째 음반이 발매되었다.

국내 여러 동요앨범들을 보게 되면, 대부분 비슷한 느낌의 곡들을 모아서 만든 하나 동요 모음집 밖에 되지 않는 경우가 많다. 하지만 이번 2008 동요 아카펠라 앨범은 그런 점에서부터 많은 차이가 있다. 작년에 발매되었던 2007년 아카펠라 앨범 뿐만 아니라 이번 2008년 앨범 역시 수록 곡 전곡이 순수 아카펠라 곡으로 재편곡 되었으며, 전국에서 모인 현직 교사 여러분들이 직접 녹음하여서 제작 되었다는 것.

물론 아카펠라로만 이루어진 동요 앨범이기 때문에 전곡이 어린아이아이들이 듣기에 그 어떤 동요 앨범보다 순수하며 듣기에 편하다는 것도 장점이다. 또한 곡 중간중간에도 재미 있는 요소가 많이 포함되었으며, 어른들이 듣기에도 좋을 뿐만 아니라 추억의 만화영화 주제곡도 포함되어 전 연령층이 부담 없이 들을 수 있는 것이 또 하나의 장점이기도 하다.

하지만 이번 앨범이 특별한 것은 아카펠라로만 이루어진 동요 음반이라는 것뿐만이 아니다. 바로 전국에 있는 현직 교사 여러분들이 직접 제작하셨다는 것. 국내 한국아카펠라교육연구회라는 연구단체에 소속된 초, 중, 고등학교 선생님들이 바로 그 주인공들이다. 이미 한국 아카펠라 계에서는 유명인사가 되어버린 한승모씨를 중심으로 2006년 초, 소수 몇 명의 선생님으로 출발한 한국아카펠라교육연구회는 이번 앨범이 기획되면서 전국의 계신 교사 여러분들이 자발적으로 참여를 해주셨고, 좋은 의도로 시작 된 앨범이니만큼 앨범을 제작하는데 많은 도움을 아끼지 않은 튠업뮤직 스튜디오나 인디스쿨, 한국음악연구회 김정철 선생님 등 각처에서 후원을 아끼지 않았다. 또한 앨범에 수록된 15곡의 동요전곡을 한승모씨와 한국아카펠라 교육연구회에서 직접 주최한 편곡연수에 참가한 선생님들이 직접 아카펠라 악보로 편곡하여 제작 하였다는 점에서 더욱 의미가 깊다.

이번 앨범 수록 곡인 '그런 날이 온다면' 처럼 자신들의 꿈과 희망이 담겨 있는 이 노래와 앨범이 세상에 더욱 널리 알려져 아름다운 화음이 가득 차게 되었으면 좋겠다는 한승모씨의 말처럼 아카펠라가 널리 세상을 이롭게 하는데 도움이 되면 좋겠다.
